Australia is home to over 400 species of reptiles. These include 248 species of lizards, 110 species of Frogs, 17 species of turtles, 107 species of snakes and 2 species of crocodiles. The keeping of reptile’s as pets is growing fast in Australia and is permisable in all states with the an approrate Wildlife Lisence. To own a reptile as a pet you will require some basic knowlodge of the reptile you intend to keep. You will need to house your reptile in a suitable Reptile Enclosure. Your reptile enclosure will need to have the correct Lighting, Heating, and Ventalation in order for your reptile to survive. Your reptile enclosure should mimic your reptile’s natraul enviroment ie. Desert reptiles like Inland Bearded Dragons require a hot arid enviroment were as Green Tree Pythons require a more humid moist enviroment. More coming soon
